Touchstone Electric recently completed a combined Panels & Service Upgrades project in Weaverville, NC, installing a whole-house surge protector and a new ceiling light on an existing circuit. The work was performed by our Charlotte branch (Matthews location) on February 21, 2025, with lead technician Josh Key on site for homeowner Donald Post.
Project overview
To help safeguard the home’s appliances and electronics from damaging voltage spikes, we installed a whole-house surge protective device (SPD) at the main electrical panel. At the same visit, we refreshed interior lighting by installing a customer-supplied ceiling light using the existing junction box and circuit—no new wiring required. This approach delivered meaningful protection and an immediate lighting improvement in a single, efficient appointment.
What we installed
