- Whole-home surge protection at the main electrical panel: Installed a surge protective device (SPD) designed to divert excess voltage safely to ground. This helps shield the home’s electrical system and connected equipment from damaging spikes caused by lightning-related surges, utility fluctuations, and large appliances cycling on and off. The SPD includes a $100,000 equipment warranty for 10 years per manufacturer terms.
- Whole-house redevice: Replaced all standard and GFCI 120V outlets, switches, and wall plates. Upgraded every receptacle to tamper-resistant (TR) to enhance child safety and reduce accidental contact with live parts. Fresh devices help improve connection quality and reduce nuisance tripping or heat from worn components.
- 20A breaker upgrades (tandem): Added new 20-amp tandem breakers to provide appropriate capacity for small-appliance branch circuits and to optimize space where panel capacity is limited, supporting reliable performance for everyday household loads.
