Touchstone Electric’s Raleigh branch completed a Panels & Service Upgrades project featuring Whole-House Surge Protection for homeowner Danks Burton in Raleigh, NC. On January 24, 2025, our technician Brad Williams installed a surge protector at the main electrical panel, added four standard outlets, wired a new 15-amp breaker, and installed a customer-supplied shop light.
What we installed
- Whole-house surge protector at the main panel: Mounted and connected at the service equipment to help divert excess voltage to ground and shield the home’s electrical system and plugged-in devices from damaging surges.
- Four standard outlets: Installed with new receptacles and covers to add convenient, code-compliant power access for day-to-day use.
- 15-amp breaker wiring: Properly sized and wired breaker for a standard branch circuit, improving safety and capacity where needed.
- Customer-supplied shop light: Professionally installed on the existing box/circuit to brighten the workshop without adding a new circuit.
