Professional Whole-Home Surge Protector Installation in Charlotte, NC

On May 30, 2024, Touchstone Electric’s Charlotte team completed a permitted whole-home surge protection project for homeowner Rakesh Abbigari in Charlotte, NC. Led by technician Danny Bishop, our crew installed a Cutler-Hammer CH style surge protective device and upgraded the service equipment to support a customer-supplied major appliance. This project was performed under an electrical permit with county inspections scheduled to verify full code compliance.

Feeder Conductors: Approximately 20 feet of THHN #4 wire pulled for a durable, low-resistance connection to the appliance circuit.
1-inch PVC Conduit: Neatly installed and secured to protect conductors and maintain a professional, code-compliant pathway.
Major Appliance Installation (Customer-Supplied): Connected via dedicated receptacle or hardwired, as appropriate for the equipment and manufacturer’s specifications.
Permit & Inspections: Permit filed with the county; inspections arranged to document safety and compliance.
