This whole-home surge protector includes a 10-year warranty with up to $50,000 in coverage for qualifying losses in the unlikely event of SPD failure. All claims are secondary to your existing homeowner’s insurance, and direct lightning strikes are excluded.
Coverage applies when protected with a properly connected Boltshield SPD and includes “Covered Equipment” such as:
- Washer and dryer
- Refrigerator and freezer
- Dishwasher, trash compactor, garbage disposal
- Stove and hardwired ranges
- HVAC equipment located inside the home (furnace, air handlers, evaporator coils)
- Built-in microwaves and other hard-wired appliances/devices
- Home wiring, outlets/switches, and electrical system components (breakers, etc.)
- Home and landscape lighting
Not included: security systems and medical equipment are specifically excluded from Covered Equipment.
