Performed by our Charlotte branch (based in Matthews) and completed on April 25, 2025, this project included permits and coordination of required inspections. We also removed old generator wiring, restored clean circuitry throughout the home, and thoroughly tested operation and safety before wrap-up.
This project covered an approximately 1,436 sq ft residence and replaced aging conductors with new wiring and appropriately sized breakers for lighting, receptacles, appliances, and equipment loads—bringing the home up to current code standards and ready for reliable everyday use.
Scope of Work
- Safely disconnected power to the home and protected the work areas.
- Detached existing devices, outlets, and switches to access and remove outdated wiring from the panel and circuits.
- Fished new wiring through walls and ceilings to minimize disruption wherever possible.
- Supplied and installed all required wire, breakers, and materials for the complete rewire.
- Reconnected devices, outlets, and switches and restored power after verification.
- Thoroughly tested operation and safety to prepare for inspections.
- Included permit costs and coordinated required inspections as part of the service.

Breakers and Circuit Upgrades Installed
As part of the new distribution plan, we installed a balanced mix of standard and double-pole breakers sized for their intended loads to align with current code requirements:
- 14x 15A standard breakers for lighting and general branch circuits, including bathroom lighting circuits per current requirements.
- 9x 20A standard breakers dedicated to small-appliance and general-use receptacle circuits.
- 6x 20A double-pole breakers for applicable 240V loads as specified.
- 1x 15A double-pole breaker for a designated 240V low-amperage circuit.
- 1x 25A double-pole breaker for equipment such as a small condenser, well pump, or compact mini-split.
- 2x 30A double-pole breakers for larger 240V appliances or equipment (e.g., dryer, water heater, air condenser, spa, or EV charging equipment as planned).
All wiring and protective devices were selected to match conductor sizing and anticipated loads, delivering safer operation and improved reliability throughout the home.
