The on-site work was estimated at five full days and includes our standard 1-year warranty on workmanship.
Breaker Repair: Fixing a Double-Tapped Circuit
A double-tapped breaker occurs when multiple conductors are landed on a terminal not listed for that use—creating heat and reliability concerns. Our Raleigh electrician corrected the condition by installing a 15-amp standard breaker so the circuit terminates properly and the panel aligns with code and listing requirements. This repair enhances safety, reduces the risk of loose connections, and supports dependable performance.
Whole-House Surge Protection
To protect sensitive electronics and major appliances from damaging voltage spikes, we installed a whole-home surge protective device (SPD) at the main electrical panel. In line with NEC 2020 (230.67), the SPD diverts excess voltage to ground during events like lightning, utility fluctuations, or equipment cycling.
This surge protector includes a 10-year, $100,000 protection warranty against appliance damage in the unlikely event of SPD failure. It helps extend equipment lifespan by mitigating the cumulative impact of everyday micro-surges on internal components.
