On May 5, 2025, Touchstone Electric completed a weatherproof outdoor GFCI outlet installation for a homeowner in Huntersville, NC. Our technician, Danny Bishop, added a safe and convenient power point at the front of the home, neatly tying it into an existing circuit. Per the homeowner’s request, we used a brown bell box and an in-use bubble cover to match the exterior and keep the outlet protected year-round.

What we installed

The GFCI was labeled and tested with a plug-in tester and built-in test/reset to confirm correct line/load orientation and reliable trip response.
To finish, we installed the in-use bubble cover and confirmed the outlet is protected with the cover closed, whether or not a cord is connected. We cleaned the work area and provided the homeowner with basic operation tips for the GFCI’s test and reset functions.
