Touchstone Electric’s Raleigh team completed a home office lighting upgrade for Chaya Rao on May 27, 2026. Our licensed electricians, Eric Myers and Brad Williams, installed four wafer LED recessed lights with new dimmer switches and clean, code‑minded wiring to deliver bright, controllable, and energy‑efficient light throughout the workspace.

What we installed
- 4x Wafer LED recessed fixtures: Slim, low‑profile “wafer” can lights that last longer and fit easily in narrow ceiling spaces. Includes the fixtures and professional installation.
- 2x Dimmer switches: Installation of modern dimmers (compatible with 2‑way, 3‑way, or 4‑way configurations). These devices work by adjusting the electrical voltage supplied to the fixtures for precise brightness control.
- 30 ft of 14/2 NM‑B Romex: Routed and secured for 15‑amp lighting circuits. Includes the cost of any junction box needed for splices. Excludes breaker or additional devices not listed.
- Electrician Wireman (per day): An additional trained helper supported the lead technicians to keep the project efficient and tidy.
All materials were installed neatly with attention to layout, spacing, and switching so the office receives balanced light and intuitive, reliable control.

Conductors were secured, splices were made in listed junction boxes, and all terminations were tightened and labeled.
With the fixtures mounted flush, we installed and programmed the dimmers, then tested for smooth low‑end and full‑output performance. Before leaving, our team verified proper operation on the 15‑amp lighting circuit, cleaned the workspace, and walked the homeowner through basic dimmer use and lighting best practices for office tasks.
