Touchstone Electric’s Charlotte team completed a clean, efficient lighting and fan upgrade for a homeowner in Charlotte, NC. This Lighting & Ceiling Fans project included installing two wafer can lights, mounting two customer-supplied ceiling fans, replacing an aging bathroom exhaust fan, and upgrading a 15A GFCI breaker to enhance safety. The work was performed by our technicians Cash Divver and Christian Cedillos and wrapped up on May 29, 2026.
What we installed
- 2x Wafer Can Lights: Low-profile wafer fixtures installed on the existing circuit. These fixtures are designed to last longer and fit well in narrow or hard-to-wire spaces. No new circuit or wiring was included.
- 2x Ceiling Fans (customer supplied): Mounted on existing fan-rated boxes/circuits. This simple fixture install focused on secure mounting, correct wiring connections, and smooth operation—no new circuit or wiring included.
- Bathroom Exhaust Fan Replacement: We removed the old housing, carefully cut drywall for a proper fit, reworked the duct connection, and tied into the existing power source. The fan was customer supplied; scope did not include running new power or replacing ductwork.
- 15A GFCI Breaker Upgrade: Added ground-fault protection to help reduce shock risks where moisture or outdoor exposure may occur. Typical locations that require or benefit from GFCI protection include kitchens, exterior areas, crawl spaces, basements, and certain lighting circuits.
- Removal of Old Electrical: We safely removed outdated electrical components related to the replaced fixtures to leave a tidy, ready-to-use finish.
