Panel and Sump Pump Circuit Upgrade in Vass, NC

What We Did
- Installed a new 150A indoor main panel (aluminum) and brought the installation up to current electrical code.
- Replaced the panel and main lug, then grounded and bonded the new panel for safety and compliance.
- Reconnected the service-entrance cable and tied in the existing branch circuits with clean, labeled terminations.
- Added breakers to support present and future household needs:

- 2 × 30A double‑pole breakers (typical for dryers, water heaters, condensers, spas, or EV charging equipment)
- 1 × 40A standard breaker
- 1 × 60A standard breaker (range, furnace/air handler, small subpanel, or EV charger)
- Ran approximately 20 feet of 3/4″ EMT conduit from the panel closet to the crawlspace wall to serve a dedicated sump pump circuit. This provides a protected, code-compliant pathway and a clean route for future wiring to the pump location.
- Included a whole‑home surge protector with a $10k warranty for added equipment protection.
- Permitting and inspection were included, and we made a generator available for limited power usage during the brief outage required for the panel swap.
