Touchstone Electric completed a vanity light and bathroom exhaust fan replacement in Indian Trail, NC for Re-Bath Charlotte on July 1, 2026. Our Charlotte branch, serving Indian Trail from our Matthews location, dispatched technicians Mark Alaev and Danny Bishop to handle the upgrade as part of a bathroom refresh.

Scope of work
- Vanity light replacement: Installed a customer-supplied fixture on the existing electrical box and circuit.
- Bathroom exhaust fan upgrade: Removed the old fan housing, cut drywall for proper fit, reworked the duct connection, and tied the new, customer-supplied unit into the existing power source.
- Coordinated visits: After an initial visit showed the space was not yet ready, our team returned to complete the installation once site conditions were prepared.
All work was completed with attention to neatness and alignment, using the home’s existing wiring and duct path as outlined by the project scope.
How we completed the installation
Our team began by verifying power was safely off and confirming the condition of the existing electrical box and wiring. The new vanity light was then mounted to ensure level placement and secure support, with proper connections to the existing circuit before testing for operation.
For the bath fan, we removed the original housing and carefully enlarged the drywall opening as needed for the new unit. We reworked the duct connection to ensure a snug fit and proper airflow path, then connected the fan to the existing power and controls. With the grille installed and alignment checked, we tested the fan and verified smooth, quiet operation.
The result is a brighter, more functional bathroom with updated lighting and dependable ventilation—an efficient refresh that complements ongoing remodeling work.
