Touchstone Electric completed a professional Tesla Wall Connector installation for Duke Energy - Allumia in Indian Land, SC. This garage-based EV charging project was designed to provide a dedicated, code-conscious electrical connection for a Tesla charging setup, with the charger mounted and hardwired in the garage.
Our Charlotte branch electrician, Mark Alaev, installed the electrical components needed to support the new charging equipment. The work included a dedicated 60-amp breaker, #6 wiring, and PVC conduit to create a protected pathway for the circuit from the electrical panel to the garage charging location.
Dedicated Circuit for a 48-Amp Tesla Charger
A Tesla Wall Connector should be connected to a properly sized dedicated circuit so the equipment can operate reliably and safely. For this completed installation, our team prepared the electrical infrastructure for a 48-amp Tesla charging configuration using a 60-amp breaker and approximately 25 feet of #6 SEU wire.
