Touchstone Electric recently completed a residential light fixture installation in Charlotte, NC. Our Charlotte team from the Matthews branch returned to the home to install two customer-supplied fixtures on existing ceiling boxes and circuits. The work was performed by electrician Will Cruz and completed on January 7, 2026.

This was a fixture-only visit: we installed the new lights using the existing electrical infrastructure already in place. No new wiring or circuit additions were included on this project, helping the homeowner achieve a clean, efficient upgrade with minimal disruption.

Scope of work

Verified power was safely isolated at the panel and confirmed correct circuit identification.
Inspected the existing ceiling boxes for proper rating, secure mounting, and suitability for the new fixtures.
Assembled and mounted each customer-provided light fixture according to manufacturer specifications.
Made code-compliant terminations to the existing circuit conductors and grounded all metal components.
Secured fixtures, installed lamps (if provided), and confirmed proper operation at the wall switches.
Performed a final safety check and cleanup of the work area.
