Touchstone Electric’s Asheville business unit, working from our Hendersonville branch, completed a lighting upgrade for Re-Bath Charlotte in Lenoir, NC on March 20, 2026. The scope included installing two recessed can lights, adding a standard light switch, safely disconnecting existing jacuzzi and steam shower wiring, and handling the required electrical permit.

What we installed
- Two recessed can lights: Low-profile fixtures were supplied and installed to improve overall illumination and reduce shadows, ideal for bath and vanity areas. The can lights were installed to manufacturer specifications and local code guidelines.
- Standard light switch: We added a wall switch to control the new lighting, configured for the application as a standard 2-way control. This was a switch installation only; no new breaker or dedicated circuit was included.
- Wiring and connections: Approximately 25 feet of NM-B 14/2 Romex cable were routed for the lighting circuit tie-ins, with junction boxes included as needed for safe, accessible splices. No new breaker, receptacle, or additional fixtures were part of this scope.
All components were tested for proper operation and labeled for clarity, setting up the finish phases of the remodel for success.
Safe disconnection of jacuzzi and steam shower wiring
As part of the remodel, our team safely disconnected the jacuzzi and steam shower wiring. We identified and isolated the associated conductors, terminated them in approved enclosures, and ensured any unused cabling was made safe in accordance with code. This approach protects both workers and future occupants during and after construction.
