Our team, led by technician Chris Rogers, delivered a clean, code‑minded upgrade that blended new recessed lighting with a customer‑provided ceiling fan, a dedicated circuit addition, and a helpful TV outlet extension.

Scope of work completed

Recessed lighting installation: Supplied and installed four 6-inch can lights to provide balanced, modern illumination.
Ceiling fan installation: Mounted a customer‑supplied ceiling fan on the existing box/circuit for efficient air circulation and lighting.
Dedicated circuit added: Installed and supplied a dedicated 15‑amp circuit to support new electrical load and help reduce nuisance tripping on shared runs.
TV outlet extension: Installed and supplied an extension outlet to power a television cleanly and conveniently at its new location.
Kitchen protection upgrade: Installed a 15‑amp GFCI/AFCI combo breaker serving kitchen receptacles for both arc‑fault and ground‑fault protection.
Circuit extensions in the crawlspace: Performed two non‑dedicated circuit extensions to reach new outlet locations without visible surface conduit.
New receptacles: Installed two standard outlets with fresh covers to complete the layout.

To complete the above, our team pulled approximately 50 feet of 14/2 NM‑B Romex and placed junction boxes as needed to maintain accessibility and code compliance.

We upgraded protection in the kitchen with a GFCI/AFCI combination breaker. This device helps safeguard against both ground faults (often involving moisture) and arc faults (which can be caused by damaged or compromised wiring). It’s a smart step toward a safer home electrical system.

Important note: When installing new AFCI devices, there’s a possibility of immediate tripping if a preexisting condition is present in the home’s wiring—such as a shared neutral on a circuit. In those cases, finding and correcting the issue can require additional diagnostic time, which may include opening affected lighting or device boxes to track the shared neutral and separate it properly.
