To feed the new devices without adding a new circuit, we carefully extended power from two existing receptacles, confirming circuit capacity and grounding before any connections were made.

We used NM-B Romex 12/2 for the extensions—an appropriate choice for 20-amp branch circuits commonly serving general-purpose outlets. Approximately 20 feet of cable was routed and secured per code, with proper terminations and enclosures where required. This approach maintains protection, reliability, and serviceability for the homeowner and any future electrical work.

Verified existing circuit load and grounding before tapping in.
Made solid, accessible splices in approved boxes with tight, labeled terminations.
Observed required clearances, support, and stapling intervals for NM-B cable.
