Level 2 EV Charger Installation in Raleigh, NC
On April 6, 2026, our Raleigh branch completed a professional Level 2 EV charger installation for Duke Energy - Allumia. The project was handled by Technician: Gustavo Peralta and delivered as a safe, code-compliant, rebate-ready solution for a residential setting in Raleigh, NC.
We installed the customer-supplied Level 2 charging equipment on a new dedicated 60-amp circuit with GFCI protection, using #6 SEU conductors and neatly mounted 3/4" PVC conduit where required for mechanical protection. A permit was pulled and the work was completed to meet local Raleigh electrical code and current NEC requirements for EV charging.
Scope of work completed
- New 60A GFCI breaker added to the existing service panel for a dedicated EV charging circuit.
- Installation of #6 SEU (3-conductor) cable, routed and secured per code from the panel to the charger location.
