Touchstone Electric’s Charlotte branch (Matthews) completed a porch lighting and fan upgrade for EdCo Construction LLC in Charlotte, NC. This project delivered brighter, more comfortable outdoor living with modern LED lighting, a new exterior ceiling fan, and convenient 3-way switch controls. Completed: March 8, 2024.

What We Delivered

Coach light removal and junction conversion: Removed an existing coach light and safely converted the location into a protected junction box with a blank plate cover.
LED disc lighting: Supplied and installed seven low-profile LED disc lights for clean, even illumination:
- 4 LED disc lights in the screened porch area
- 3 LED disc lights on the covered porch area
Exterior ceiling fan install: Installed a customer-supplied fan on the screened porch for improved comfort and airflow.
3-way switching: Added interior 3-way controls for separate switching of each zone:
- One switch for the four screened porch lights
- One switch for the screened porch ceiling fan
- One switch for the three covered porch lights
Permit and inspections: Secured the electrical permit and coordinated inspection(s) for code compliance.
