Pool Electrical Wiring and Breaker Installation in Charlotte

Touchstone Electric’s Specialty team completed a pool electrical wiring project for Ivy Creek Pools in Charlotte, delivering a clean, safe, and code‑minded installation. From our Charlotte branch in Matthews, electricians Michail Barankevich and Chris Rogers installed a dedicated circuit and ran new feeders to support a pool panel, ensuring dependable power for pool equipment.

What We Installed

  • 40A Square D QO double‑pole breaker installed at the main panel for a dedicated pool circuit.
  • 100 ft of #6 THHN (four conductors) pulled to supply the pool panel location.
  • Fishing wire through conduit to navigate hard‑to‑reach areas and complete the pull efficiently.
  • Coordination with the builder—Ivy Creek Pools provided the 1” conduit and trench from the main panel to the pool panel location.

How We Completed the Work

Our crew safely isolated the service area, set the Square D QO 40‑amp breaker, and staged the pull path. With the 1” conduit supplied and trenched by Ivy Creek Pools, we fished the conductors through the route and completed the run to the pool panel location. The #6 THHN wiring offers the robust capacity specified for this application, supporting reliable performance for pool equipment.

Because parts of the path were difficult to access, we included additional labor for fishing wire through tight or obstructed areas. This ensured a tidy pull without unnecessary disruption and preserved the integrity of the conduit pathway.

Code‑Minded, Professional Installation

Pool electrical systems demand precise attention to safety and code requirements. Our approach focused on correct breaker sizing, appropriately rated conductors, and careful routing to support safe operation. The result is a well‑organized, professional setup ready to serve the pool panel once equipment is finalized at the site.

Project Highlights

  • Dedicated circuit for pool equipment with a Square D QO 40A breaker.
  • Long feeder run of 100 ft handled cleanly with #6 THHN copper conductors.
  • Expert wire fishing through the 1” conduit to reach the pool panel location.
  • Builder coordination to align the electrical scope with trenching and conduit provided on site.
