Touchstone Electric’s Charlotte branch (Matthews-based team) completed a specialty Pool & Hot Tub Electrical project for Joe Hunter in Huntersville, NC on March 26, 2024. Lead technician Brian Cain installed a dedicated 30A GFCI circuit for the pool filter, added a code-compliant GFCI outlet for maintenance, and provided a complete bonding and grounding system for the pool equipment.
This turnkey setup was designed for safety around water, reliable equipment performance, and compliance with the National Electrical Code and local requirements in Huntersville.
Scope of work completed
- 30A GFCI-protected circuit for the pool filter – Dedicated power with a GFCI breaker for enhanced protection around water.
- GFCI maintenance outlet by the pool equipment – Convenient, safe access for service tools and routine upkeep.
- Pool bonding and grounding system – Included a bonding halo and equipment grounding to help equalize potential and reduce shock risks.
- Feeder and conduit – Package included 50 ft of feeder in conduit for a neat, durable installation path to the equipment area.
- Electrical permit – Work performed under permit for a code-compliant, properly documented installation.
- Same-day booking discount – A courtesy discount was applied for booking at time of service.
Note: This project focused on line-voltage pool power and did not include low-voltage components.
