• Removed obsolete cloth-insulated wiring feeding outdoor outlets, the living area, and all bedrooms.
• Installed new copper conductors and grounded all outlets and switches within the rewire zones.
• Added a new light switch and wiring for a dedicated light fixture in the washer/dryer area.
• Approximately 875 sq ft of the home was rewired, with permitting and inspections included.

Dedicated Circuits Where They Matter

To reduce nuisance trips and protect appliances, we added dedicated circuits where higher or consistent loads are present.

• New dedicated circuit for the crawlspace dehumidifier.
• Dedicated circuits for the washing machine and dryer on the back porch.

Outdoor Protection, Indoor Convenience

We upgraded device locations to meet today’s safety standards and to add everyday convenience.

• Installed three weather-rated GFCI outdoor outlets with in-use (bubble) covers for year-round protection.
• Installed six standard indoor outlets in newly rewired areas to provide safe, grounded power.

Whole-Home Surge Protection

To help guard sensitive electronics and major appliances against voltage spikes, we installed a whole-home surge protection device at the main panel.

• Surge protection installed at the service panel to shunt excess voltage safely to ground.
• Includes a 10-year, up to $50,000 connected equipment coverage per the device specifications.

Panel Tune-Up and System Corrections

A clean, well-labeled, and properly torqued panel extends equipment life and reduces risk. We completed a thorough panel rejuvenation and resolved known code issues.

• Vacuumed and cleaned the panel, re-tensioned terminations, verified proper neutral/ground separation, and corrected labeling.
• Removed unused conductors and abandoned wiring in and near the panel/washer-dryer area.
• Replaced an existing double-tapped breaker with a new 30-amp double-pole breaker.
• Trenched and installed a new grounding electrode conductor to the ground rod as part of the grounding upgrade.
• Secured SER feeder cable in the crawlspace to protect against mechanical damage and improve system integrity.
