We sealed openings to help prevent arcing and deter critters, confirmed correct incoming voltage from the electrical provider, applied antioxidant on conductors where needed, and—with the homeowner’s consent—tested AFCI and GFCI breakers for proper operation.
- Ground Rod Upgrade: We drove a new ground rod (typically about 8 feet) and replaced the grounding electrode conductor (GEC) with a continuous run to the main service panel. The GEC was routed within the maximum 25-foot distance requirements for this installation, strengthening the home’s grounding system for better fault clearing and surge dissipation.
- Whole-Home Surge Protector – $10k / 3-Year: We installed a service panel–mounted surge protective device (SPD) that diverts excess voltage to ground, helping prevent harmful surges—caused by lightning, utility fluctuations, or equipment cycling—from reaching and damaging the home’s electrical system and covered equipment.

Security systems and medical equipment are not included.
