Lead technician Mark Alaev removed two outdated sauna outlets, installed matching blank plates, upgraded protective breakers, and refreshed a failing doorbell transformer with new wiring.
This visit combined Outlet Installation & Repair with panel and low-voltage updates, improving safety, reliability, and everyday convenience throughout the home.
What we did
- Sauna outlet removal and blanking – Eliminated two receptacles inside the sauna and finished the openings with durable blank plates. We aimed to match the plates to the sauna’s wood tone for a clean, finished look.
- Doorbell transformer replacement – Replaced an aging transformer and rewired the doorbell circuitry to restore dependable chime performance.
- 20A GFCI breaker installation – Added a ground-fault protective breaker to help safeguard receptacle circuits commonly found in areas like bathrooms, laundry rooms, garages, and exterior locations.
- 30A double‑pole breaker installation – Installed a 30-amp, 240V breaker to serve a higher-demand circuit suitable for larger appliances or equipment as needed by the home’s layout.
- Targeted wiring updates – Pulled new NM‑B Romex 10/3 (15 ft) for the 30A circuit and NM‑B Romex 12/2 (10 ft) for a 20A run to ensure proper conductor sizing and reliable connections.
- Standard receptacle service – Included installation of a standard outlet with cover where appropriate during the same visit.
- Electrical permit filed – Secured the required electrical permit for this scope of work in the Charlotte area.
