Touchstone Electric recently completed an Outlets & Switches service for Jefferson Davis in Charlotte. Our Charlotte branch, operating from our Matthews location, delivered a safe, code-compliant solution that included a new outlet on an extended circuit and a standard light switch replacement. Project Overview
This job combined two common residential needs: extending a non-dedicated circuit to add a new receptacle and replacing a standard light switch. - Outlet installation: Installed a properly mounted electrical box and receptacle on the extended run, ensuring secure terminations and correct conductor sizes.
- Switch replacement: Swapped in a new standard switch, ensuring correct traveler/commons where applicable and solid connections.
- Testing and verification: Checked polarity, grounding continuity, and function at the outlet and switch. Labeled the panel breaker for clear identification.
- Cleanup: Left the work area tidy and ready for immediate use.
