Project overview
On March 4, 2026, Touchstone Electric’s Charlotte team completed a weatherproof outdoor outlet installation for Cantey Foundation Specialists in Charlotte, NC. This project provided safe and convenient power access outdoors and was delivered by our Matthews branch serving the Greater Charlotte area.
The scope included professional trenching, PVC conduit protection, a sturdy wood post mount, and a code-conscious outlet setup equipped with an in-use “bubble” cover to keep connections protected from rain and splash while a cord is plugged in.
Scope of work completed
- 54 ft trenching at approximately 18–24 inches to route power safely to the outdoor location while minimizing surface impact.
- 1/2-inch PVC electrical conduit with fittings, connectors, and LBs installed to shield conductors and support a long-lasting, low-maintenance run.
- Wood post set in concrete to create a secure, upright mounting point for the exterior receptacle assembly.
- Outdoor receptacle with in-use bubble cover installed to provide weatherproof protection whether an appliance or tool is plugged in or not.
These components work together to deliver a durable outdoor power solution that stands up to weather, lawn equipment, and day-to-day use—ideal for landscaping tools, pool or well accessories, and seasonal lighting.
