Outdoor Security Floodlight Installation in Raleigh, NC

Our Raleigh team recently completed a security lighting upgrade for Armadale Animal Hospital, enhancing visibility and safety across the facility’s front parking area. Led by technician Cody Perry from our Raleigh branch, the project delivered bright, reliable illumination using efficient LED technology and clean, code-compliant wiring methods.

The goal was straightforward: create wide, even coverage for vehicles and walkways while maintaining a professional appearance on the building exterior. By running a new surface-mounted conduit pathway and installing two high-output fixtures, we achieved excellent coverage with minimal disruption to daily operations.

What We Installed

Two 50W, 7,050-lumen LED security floodlights for powerful, energy-efficient illumination and long service life.
30 feet of 1/2-inch PVC conduit with the appropriate connectors and conduit bodies to protect conductors and keep the installation neat and durable.
Two exterior-rated boxes to provide secure mounting and weather-resistant terminations at each fixture location.

Each light was positioned and aimed to reduce shadows and improve coverage across the front parking area, helping staff, visitors, and pets navigate more safely after dark.

How the Job Was Completed

Assessment and layout: We confirmed the optimal mounting points and planned a tidy conduit route to serve both fixtures while preserving the property’s exterior appearance.
Conduit and box installation: Our team mounted the boxes, installed 30 feet of 1/2-inch PVC conduit with the necessary fittings, and ensured secure, weather-resistant connections.
Fixture setup and aiming: The 50W LED floodlights were mounted, wired, and carefully aimed to illuminate drive lanes and parking stalls with balanced coverage.
Testing and cleanup: After verifying operation and alignment, we performed a detailed cleanup so the area was ready for immediate use.

To maintain schedule and quality, Cody was supported by an additional wireman for portions of the installation. The result is a clean, professional finish that blends with the building while delivering strong nighttime visibility.
