On February 26, 2026, Touchstone Electric completed an outdoor power upgrade for homeowner Lynn O’Connor in Swannanoa, NC. Our Asheville team installed a sturdy wood post set in concrete, added a weatherproof in-use bubble cover, and placed two new standard receptacles to make outdoor power safer and more convenient. We also filed the required electrical permit with the county for this work.

Scope of work completed
- Wood post set in concrete (single): Installed to support outdoor power where mounting to a building isn’t ideal—useful for pool equipment, well pumps, garden tools, and general outdoor use.
- Receptacle with bubble (in-use) cover: Added a weather-resistant, in-use cover that protects the outlet whether something is plugged in or not, helping the receptacle stay clean, dry, and functional in wet locations.

- Electrical permit: We filed the electrical permit with the county for this installation.

If a project requires other approvals—such as Historic Preservation, Environmental/Septic, Zoning, Building/General Contractor, or other non-electrical permits—those are not included.
