On February 24, 2025, our technician Danny Bishop installed a weatherproof GFCI receptacle on a sturdy yard post, extended power from the home with UF‑B wiring and liquidtight conduit, and added whole‑home surge protection at the main panel. What we installed

UF‑B #12/2 wiring (approx. 100 ft) on a 20A circuit, suitable for direct burial and outdoor applications.

How we routed the power safely

Starting at the garage, we tied into the appropriate existing circuit and transitioned to the exterior with liquidtight conduit for a clean, protected surface run. From there, the power path continued across the yard using UF‑B cable, with the landscaping team providing the trench and conduit pathway to the court.

We set the yard post plumb and secure, installed a weather‑resistant GFCI receptacle with an in‑use cover, and verified correct line/load orientation. Final checks included GFCI trip testing, continuity, and proper labeling at the panel. Burial depths and fittings were completed to meet current electrical code requirements for outdoor circuits.
