What We Installed

NEMA 14-50 garage outlet for Level 2 EV charging (customer-supplied charging equipment plugs in).
50-amp standard breaker added in the main panel for a dedicated EV circuit.
3/4-inch PVC conduit installed above the panel, across the ceiling, and down the wall for a clean, protected wire path.
Heavy-gauge conductors: approximately 10 ft of 6/3 NM-B and 35 ft of #6 THHN conductors sized for 240V, 50A service.

This configuration supports dependable Level 2 charging speeds while keeping the garage outlet accessible and the wiring protected.

How We Routed the Circuit

To minimize wall disruption and keep a clean look, we ran conduit from above the panel to the ceiling and down the wall, then passed through the utility room wall to the garage. This approach places the 14-50 receptacle exactly where the homeowner needs it while preserving clear sightlines and protecting the conductors.

Our team labels new breakers, secures all terminations, and verifies correct voltage and polarity so the outlet is ready for immediate use with compatible EV charging equipment.

Permit Filed and Ready for Inspection

We filed the required electrical permit with the county for this project. If additional non-electrical permits are ever required by a jurisdiction, we inform homeowners in advance and can help with the process as needed.
