Project Scope and What We Installed
- Meter Base Riser with Weatherhead: We installed IMC conduit from the meter base to the weatherhead, with proper strapping and a roof boot at the roof penetration. A new service-entrance cable was pulled from the meter to the weatherhead to ensure a secure, weather-resistant service mast. Note: the meter base unit itself was not part of this specific line item’s scope.
- 250A THHN Feeder (30 ft): We pulled approximately 30 feet of THHN 4/0 (3–4 strand) conductors to support a 250-amp+ feeder for the main panel or subpanels, providing the capacity needed for modern household electrical demand. This feeder component does not include conduit or a main breaker as part of its scope.
- Electrical Permit Filing: Our team filed the electrical permit with the county and performed the work to current code standards. Please note: jurisdictions may require non-electrical permits (such as Historic Preservation, Environmental/Septic, Zoning, or Builder permits). These are not included in the electrical permit and, if needed, we’ll advise on next steps or provide pricing for processing those additional permits.
- Ground Rod and GEC Upgrade: We drove a new ground rod and replaced the grounding electrode conductor (GEC) to create a continuous, code-compliant path to the main service panel. This upgrade improves fault clearing and surge performance and is provided up to a specified distance as part of this scope.
