Touchstone Electric’s Charlotte team from our Matthews branch completed a dedicated power upgrade in Mint Hill, NC for homeowner Julia Caporale. What We Installed
- Electrical permit filing: We obtained and filed the required electrical permit with the county for code-compliant work.
- Two dedicated 20-amp circuits: One circuit for the sump pump and one for the dehumidifier, preventing overloads and improving reliability.
- NM-B 12/2 wiring: Clean, secure runs using approximately 65 feet per circuit to reach the new outlet locations.
- 20-amp tandem breaker: A panel-approved tandem breaker to supply both new circuits while maintaining proper protection.
- 3/4" PVC conduit (select sections): Added for mechanical protection where surface routing required it, complete with fittings and supports.
- Two standard receptacles with covers: New outlets installed, tested, and labeled for each appliance.
All components were installed to manufacturer specifications and local electrical code requirements, with circuits clearly identified at the panel for easy future service.
