Project Details and Scope
As part of this Panels & Service Upgrades and Meter Base & Service Replacement project, our team focused on restoring a safe, weather-tight overhead service entry. The scope of work included:
- Pulling required permits for the meter riser and weatherhead work
- Installing IMC conduit from the meter location up to the weatherhead
- Securing the riser with proper straps for stability and code compliance
- Adding a roof boot to seal the roof penetration against water intrusion
- Running new service entrance cable from the new meter location to the weatherhead
Not included in this scope: the meter base and the grounding system.
This approach ensures the service entry components above the meter are robust, properly supported, and protected from the elements—key factors in maintaining a reliable electrical service to the home.
