Scope of Work
We replaced aging equipment and upgraded the service to a modern, utility-ready configuration. The work included planning, permitting, installation, grounding, and post-install verification.
- 200A meter/panel combo (over/under) with feed-through lugs: Consolidated, space-efficient service equipment designed for reliability and future expansion.
- Utility coordination and permits: Scheduled the power drop with the power provider and pulled all required permits for a smooth, compliant process.
- New riser and weatherhead: Installed IMC conduit from the meter base to the weatherhead with proper strapping, a roof boot, and new service-entrance cable from the meter to the weatherhead.
- Grounding system upgrade: Installed ground rods with new grounding electrode conductors for improved fault protection and system stability.
- 20A double-pole breaker (small appliances): Added a dedicated breaker to support the homeowner’s appliance needs.
- Exterior mounting solution: Set a double 16-ft 4x4 wood post, installed 3 ft deep in concrete, to securely mount the exterior meter/panel combo.
- On-site support: Additional wireman on the job to keep the project organized and efficient.

This service upgrade was permitted, inspected, and completed to current code requirements recognized locally. As inspectors continue to implement NEC 2020, some homes may require AFCI breaker upgrades.
