Power, protection, and controls done right
For this Wesley Chapel installation, we supplied a dedicated 15‑amp circuit to keep the new outdoor lighting load on its own protected path. The exterior outlet that feeds the transformer is a GFCI, and it’s covered by an in-use bubble cover to maintain weather resistance whether or not something is plugged in. The customer’s smart switch was integrated and the wall box was upgraded to a 2‑gang configuration to accommodate the new control layout cleanly.
All wiring was routed neatly and terminated securely. The low-voltage landscape cable is appropriately rated for outdoor use and buried to proper depth to help protect it from damage while preserving serviceability for future maintenance or expansion.
Why choose low-voltage landscape lighting
- Safety and code-conscious installation: GFCI protection and in-use covers help safeguard outdoor electrical connections.
- Energy-efficient lighting: Low-voltage systems typically consume less power while offering bright, attractive illumination.
- Enhanced curb appeal and security: Illuminated paths and accents improve nighttime visibility and highlight architectural and landscape features.
- Flexible and scalable: With a properly sized transformer and thoughtfully laid cable runs, homeowners can expand or adjust fixture placement as their landscape evolves.
