Touchstone Electric’s Raleigh branch recently completed a lighting installation and new dedicated circuit pathway in Cary, NC. For homeowner Michael Pelt, our technician Brad Williams installed a customer-supplied light fixture and ran 3/4-inch EMT from the main electrical panel to the crawl space to support a future dedicated circuit—delivering clean workmanship and reliable power for the planned load.

What we did on this project
- Installed 3/4-inch EMT conduit from the main electrical panel, routing approximately 30 feet across to the crawl-space wall for a dedicated circuit path.
- Core/drill pass-through into the crawl space to position the conduit where it can serve the new circuit efficiently and safely.
- Mounted and secured conduit with appropriate fittings, connectors, LBs, and supports for a neat, serviceable installation.
- Installed customer-supplied light fixture on the existing ceiling box/circuit and verified proper operation after installation.
This combination of a clean light fixture install and a properly routed conduit run prepares the home for a dedicated circuit where needed—helping prevent nuisance tripping and ensuring adequate power delivery for appliances or equipment that require their own circuit.
