Lighting Installation & Fixture Relocation in High Point, NC

Touchstone Electric’s Charlotte–Matthews team completed a Lighting & Ceiling Fans project in High Point, NC, led by technician Christian Cedillos. On 2026-03-03, we relocated a foyer light to the homeowner’s preferred spot, installed a new living room light with a dedicated wall switch, and added a hardwired doorbell system with a transformer. This Lighting Installation improved comfort, safety, and everyday convenience for our customer, Samuel Resien.

Scope of Work

Foyer fixture relocation: Moved the existing light to the customer’s desired location and made the previous wiring safe for drywall patching.
New living room fixture: Installed a ceiling light at the chosen location and added a new wall switch for independent control.
Hardwired doorbell system: Installed a chime and low-voltage transformer for reliable, long-term performance.
Make-safe wiring: Removed or terminated unneeded ceiling wiring in two areas and prepared surfaces for patch/paint.

How We Completed the Job

For the foyer, we carefully measured and marked the new fixture point, assessed framing, and installed a properly supported, listed ceiling box. We rerouted wiring as needed and ensured the old location was safely de-energized and made ready for patching, leaving a clean path for finishing work.

In the living room, our team installed a new light exactly where the homeowner wanted more illumination. We added a new switch leg and a standard wall switch, providing convenient on/off control without relying on lamps. All wiring was terminated in listed enclosures, fastened to framing as required, and tested for function and polarity.

For the doorbell, we mounted a transformer to supply the correct low-voltage output and wired the chime and pushbutton to ensure clear, consistent operation. After installation, we tested the ring, chime volume, and transformer output to confirm dependable performance.
