This project required a new dedicated circuit to meet the manufacturer’s specifications for a Level 2 EV charger. We added a 60-amp breaker, ran new #6 conductors, and protected the wiring in 3/4-inch PVC conduit for a clean, code-compliant installation.

What We Installed

Dedicated 60-amp breaker: Installed a two-pole 60A breaker to supply the Level 2 EV charger on its own dedicated circuit.
New feeder run: Pulled approximately 30 feet of #6 conductors to support the charger’s load requirements and minimize voltage drop.
3/4-inch PVC conduit: Mounted and secured roughly 10 feet of PVC conduit with appropriate fittings, connectors, and supports for mechanical protection and a neat finish.
Charger connection: Connected the customer-supplied charging equipment in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and current electrical code.
Labeling and verification: Labeled the new circuit and verified correct voltage, breaker function, and charger operation.
