Touchstone Electric completed a professional Level 2 EV charger installation for a customer-supplied unit in Mint Hill, NC. Performed by our Matthews-based Charlotte team, this project was set up to be Duke Energy rebate-ready and included all code-compliant electrical work and permitting required for a safe, reliable home charging experience.
What we installed
- Dedicated 60A circuit: Installed a new 60-amp breaker to power the Level 2 EV charger safely and efficiently.
- Conduit routing: Added 1-inch PVC conduit (mounted with fittings and connectors as applicable) to protect and organize the run.
- Proper conductors: Pulled THHN #4 conductors for a robust, code-aligned connection to the charger location.
- Customer-supplied charger: Connected the homeowner’s EV charger per manufacturer specifications.
- Permitting: Pulled the necessary permit and prepared documentation to support the installation and rebate submission.
- Neat, labeled finish: Clearly identified the new circuit and ensured a clean, professional appearance at the panel and charger.
