Project Overview
Professional Level 2 EV charger installation in Charlotte, NC, with permit handling, 60A breaker, THHN #6 wiring, and EMT conduit—eligible for Duke Energy rebate.
Customer feedback: Edit: Had another company do the EV charge port. They also thought it was light oxidation instead of corrosion. I did have them bid a panel upgrade because I wanted more slots and their bid was $2500(instead of $4,000). They came out for an EV Charger bid which was a good price but they told me that my panel will need to be replaced within 6 months(which would cost $4000) because of "corrosion" and wanted me to sign a waiver. I didn't share that feeling so got a second opinion. After showing this picture to 2 master electricians in the family and one other who I was asking to bid to replace it, they thought it rather absurd and ridiculous to call that corrosion and said it was in good condition I operate in good faith and I assume it of others. There maybe reasonable explanations like being overly cautious but in my history with construction I would urge caution.
