Professional Level 2 EV Charger Setup in Charlotte, NC

Touchstone Electric completed a permitted Level 2 EV charger installation with a dedicated 60-amp circuit for Duke Energy - Allumia in Charlotte, NC. The project was serviced on October 24, 2024 by our Charlotte team based out of our Matthews branch, led by technicians Steve Goheen and Chris Rogers.

This job was tailored for reliable daily charging, clean conduit work, and long-term safety. Our team provided the necessary power infrastructure and connection for the customer-supplied charging equipment.

Scope of Work

Dedicated 60A circuit: Installed a new 60-amp breaker sized for Level 2 EV charging.
Heavy‑duty conductors: Pulled approximately 25 feet of #6 THHN conductors to support the 60A load.
Rigid, clean pathway: Installed about 25 feet of 3/4-inch EMT conduit with appropriate fittings and supports.
Fishing through finished areas: Fished roughly 20 feet to reach the final charger location with minimal disturbance.
Customer-supplied equipment: Provided the needed receptacle or hard-wiring connection per the charger’s specifications.
Permitting: Filed an electrical permit with the county for a compliant, documented install.

The result is a robust Level 2 charging solution designed for safe, efficient, and convenient EV charging at home or on site.

Duke Energy EV Rebate Applied
