Level 2 EV Charger Installation in Charlotte, NC
Touchstone Electric’s Charlotte team, based out of our Matthews branch, completed a seamless Level 2 EV charger installation for Duke Energy - Allumia in Charlotte, NC. On September 30, 2025, technician Chris Rogers installed a dedicated 60A circuit with a new GE breaker and a clean, efficient wiring run to power a customer-supplied Level 2 charger.
This project was designed for reliability, safety, and future-ready charging capacity, all completed to current electrical code requirements and utility program guidelines.

- New 60A GE breaker dedicated for EV charging
- Approximately 15 ft of #6 SEU wiring for a properly sized feeder/circuit run
- Hardwired customer-supplied Level 2 EV charger with secure terminations and labeling
- Load and panel assessment to confirm capacity and breaker placement
- Permit coordination and documentation support for utility rebate submission
