Lead technician Tyler Harris installed a dedicated 240V circuit with a NEMA 14-50 receptacle in the customer’s garage, providing fast, reliable charging for their EV.
This project was completed under the Duke Energy program, and our team handled the required permitting and rebate support to streamline the process from start to finish.

- NEMA 14-50 receptacle positioned at the front of the right-side garage wall for convenient cable reach and easy parking alignment.
- Dedicated 50-amp circuit terminated on an Eaton CH panel with a properly sized breaker for Level 2 charging.
- EMT conduit (3/4") surface-mounted for a tidy, low-profile run that protects conductors and maintains a professional finish.
- #6 THHN copper conductors pulled in conduit to support the circuit’s load and deliver dependable performance for daily charging.
- 4-square metal box with extension and cover neatly installed under the panel to provide a durable, accessible termination point.
- Targeted use of NM-B 6/3 where appropriate, with a junction box as required, to complete the run efficiently and safely.
The result is a robust 240V charging solution that supports most Level 2 EVSEs and mobile connectors designed for a NEMA 14-50 plug.
