Our Raleigh team recently completed a Level 2 EV charger project for Karthikeyan Deivasigamani in Cary, NC. On July 5, 2024, technician Patrick Burke installed a dedicated 60-amp circuit, hardwired a customer-supplied Level 2 charger in the garage, ran new wiring in protective conduit, added a 60A breaker, and handled the permitting and inspection process.

What We Installed
- Hardwired Level 2 EV charger: Connected a customer-supplied EVSE in the garage for a clean, permanent installation.
- Dedicated 60A circuit: Ran a new branch circuit from the panel exclusively for the EV charger.
- New 60-amp standard breaker: Added a breaker sized for EV charging applications.
- NM-B 4/3 cable: Installed new NM-B Romex wiring to serve the charger location.
- 3/4-inch PVC conduit: Mounted conduit with fittings and LBs where surface routing was needed for protection and a tidy finish.
- Liquidtight flexible conduit: Used at equipment transitions to protect conductors and allow a secure connection to the EVSE.
- Wire fishing through tight areas: Carefully routed conductors through hard-to-reach spaces to minimize wall disruption.
- Electrical permit and inspections: Filed the permit with the county and coordinated the required inspections.
