Our Raleigh team completed a Level 2 EV charger installation paired with a whole-home surge protection upgrade in Chapel Hill, NC. On January 6, 2025, technician Francisco Martinez delivered a clean, code-focused install designed to support daily EV charging and protect sensitive electronics from damaging power surges. All work was completed under an electrical permit and is backed by our Signature Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty.
Scope of work completed
- Electrical permit pulled for the project in Chapel Hill.
- Dedicated Level 2 EV charging circuit installed for a customer-supplied charger (receptacle or hardwired connection as appropriate).
- 50-amp standard breaker installed to provide overcurrent protection for the EV charging circuit.
- Approximately 35 feet of NM-B 8/3 cable routed to serve the charger location, with attention to neatness and clear labeling.
- 3/4-inch PVC conduit (about 10 feet) used where surface protection and transitions were needed, including fittings and supports.
- Whole-home surge protection system installed at the main electrical panel, providing additional protection for the home’s electrical system and connected devices.
