Level 2 EV Charging Setup Completed in Mauldin, SC
Touchstone Electric’s Greenville branch completed a clean, code-compliant Level 2 charging upgrade for a customer in Mauldin, SC. Led by technician Tyler Harris, this project prepared the garage for fast at-home charging with a dedicated 50-amp circuit and a NEMA 14-50 receptacle. Completion date: April 14, 2026.

What We Installed
- NEMA 14-50 receptacle on the left wall of the garage for Level 2 EV charging.
- Dedicated 240V, 50A circuit using 6/3 NM-B Romex run through the crawlspace to the back wall of the garage.
- Surface-mounted conduit/flex with THHN conductors to neatly route power from the back wall to the final receptacle location.
- Square D QO electrical panel integration with a new 50A 2-pole breaker for the EV circuit.
- 20A tandem breaker added to the panel to optimize space for the new EV circuit.
- Permit and inspection coordination for a smooth, compliant installation in Mauldin, SC.
