Touchstone Electric’s Raleigh team completed a clean, efficient recessed lighting upgrade for homeowner Chaya Rao in Raleigh, NC. On December 11, 2025, our technician Brad Williams installed modern LED wafer can lights with new switching, carefully routed new wiring, and made precise drywall cuts to access tight areas—all tailored to the home’s layout and lighting goals.

- ~90 ft NM-B 14/2 Romex — Properly routed cable for 15-amp lighting circuits to power the new fixtures and controls.
- ~20 ft wire fishing — Additional labor to navigate hard-to-reach areas without excessive demolition.
- 5 custom drywall cuts — Clean, targeted openings to access framing bays and pathways needed for the installation.
The scope addressed fixtures, wiring routes, and switching. No new breaker or dedicated circuit was added during this visit.

- Safe prep and protection of the work area, with attention to existing finishes and furnishings.
- Precise drywall access at five locations to reach concealed spaces while minimizing disruption.
- Routing NM-B 14/2 Romex along approved pathways to power each new light and switch location.
- Fishing wire through tight framing cavities to avoid unnecessary openings.
- Fixture and switch mounting with reliable terminations and neat connections.
- Functional testing of all ten fixtures and three switches to confirm proper operation.
- Final cleanup so the space was ready for use right away.
