Touchstone Electric’s Charlotte team completed a full lighting and fan upgrade for Focht Pro Builders in Charlotte, NC. Finished on December 19, 2025, this Lighting & Ceiling Fans project focused on modern, energy-conscious illumination and a clean, professional trim-out suitable for new construction. The work was coordinated by our Matthews branch and installed by technician Danny Bishop.
The goal: brighten kitchens and living areas with low-profile LED recessed lighting, add task-ready under-cabinet illumination, and prepare safe, code-compliant support and wiring for a ceiling fan—delivering a crisp, finished look that’s move-in ready.
Scope of work completed
- LED wafer recessed downlights: Installed seventeen 6-inch LED wafer cans to deliver even, low-glare illumination with a sleek, trimless profile ideal for tight ceiling cavities.
- Ceiling fan wiring and bracing: Wired and braced for one ceiling fan using a fan-rated box and secure support for safe, long-term operation.
- Under-cabinet lighting: Added 40 feet of low-profile under-cabinet LED lighting, powered by four dedicated transformers/drivers for consistent brightness across multiple cabinet sections.
- Fan–can combinations: Completed three custom “fan and can” combos to balance airflow with focused task lighting in key living areas.
- New construction trim-out: After rough-in inspections passed, we installed and supplied smoke detectors, connected vent fans (ducting by others), set disconnects for HVAC/major appliances, hooked up customer-supplied appliances (disposal, dishwasher, range, cooktop, microwave, washer, dryer as needed), and installed fixtures per the approved plans.
We wrapped with a meticulous trim-out—straight lines, aligned trims, and tight junctions—so surfaces look clean and lighting levels feel balanced the moment power is on.
