Project overview
Completed January 27, 2026, this kitchen modernization in Waxhaw, NC brought safer power distribution, brighter lighting, and future‑ready circuits to a busy cooking space. Led by technician Danny Bishop, our Charlotte team (Matthews branch) delivered a code‑compliant rewire to new plans, a 100A garage subpanel, and thoughtfully placed LED lighting for everyday comfort and control.
Scope of work completed
- Kitchen rewire to new print: Updated wiring layout to match the latest design and appliance locations.
- 15 wafer can lights + dimmer: Low‑profile, efficient LEDs on a dedicated dimmer for versatile task and ambient lighting.
- Dedicated appliance circuits: New circuits installed for the refrigerator, oven/microwave combination, hood fan, dishwasher, gas cooktop, and a future disposal.
- All outlets to code: Kitchen receptacles furnished and installed to current electrical code requirements.
- 100A subpanel in the garage: New subpanel to support kitchen loads and provide organized, expandable capacity.
- Two 4” LED trims at the bay window: Targeted illumination for the breakfast nook and accent lighting.
After rough inspection passed, our trim‑out phase included supplying and installing smoke detectors, connecting vent fans (where ducting was provided by others), setting appliance disconnects, and making final connections to customer‑supplied fixtures and appliances per the plans.
