Project Overview

The homeowner needed additional outlets, new appliance wiring, and under-cabinet lighting while bringing the existing kitchen up to current code. Our licensed electrician handled permitting, installed new receptacles, extended circuits where needed, and ensured a clean, organized layout with a new multi-gang box and safe terminations.

Scope of Work

New Circuit Extensions (5x): Provided non-dedicated circuit extensions (up to 25 ft each) to support upgraded kitchen needs including under-cabinet lighting, dishwasher, disposal, and range.
Under-Cabinet Lighting: Ran power and connections for new task lighting to improve countertop visibility and function.
Appliance Wiring: Connected customer-supplied appliances:
- Dishwasher and Disposal: Small appliance hookups with proper receptacles/hardwiring.
- Range: Major appliance connection with the correct receptacle/hardwiring.
Outlet Installation (4x Receptacles): Supplied and installed new standard outlets with covers to increase safe, convenient access to power throughout the kitchen.
3-Gang Box Installation: Installed and supplied a 3-gang box to organize switching/outlet positions and simplify future maintenance.
Remove 2 Switch Legs: Removed two unnecessary switch legs and safely terminated boxes to meet code and eliminate confusion.
Code Compliance & Safety: Brought the kitchen’s outlets and wiring up to current code requirements, including proper GFCI/AFCI placement where required by code design.
Permits & Inspections: Filed the electrical permit with the county and scheduled the required inspections.
